Name: Eros
Species (Human, Spirit, Guardian): Spirit/Guardian
Affinity(good/bad/neutral): Good or Neutral
If a Guardian, what of?: Love
Description of Appearance: Female, long brown hair, striking amber eyes, looks like a youthful 15 year old. She is tallish with a fit body. Eagle like wings occasionally appear on her back. She wears furry boots made of bear hide that go up to her knees. She also wears a fuchsia dress and a scarlet hooded cape. (Some mistake her for red riding hood…)
Abilities: Has a bronze bow and arrow as long as her torso. Arrows appear in hand when needed in a cloud-like mist. The arrows cannot make people fall in love, rather, comfort the souls of the broken-hearted. She can fly and has superior tracking skills, and has the ability to look through the eyes of those she helps. An unknown voice sometimes talks in her head.
Strengths: Agility, marksmanship, negotiation,
Weaknesses: Flying (she can but… she sucks), she can’t help people on Valentine’s Day, and refuses to do anything when it is raining.
Likes: Weapons, sunshine, assisting others, chocolate, and singing.
Dislikes: Rain, the Cupid stereotype, children, and disrespect.
Allies: Anyone that wants to be an ally with her, she doesn’t particularly spend time with a lot of people—but she wouldn’t turn down an offer of peace, as long as she agrees with their causes.
Enemies: Anyone she dislikes.
Crushes/Relationships (if applicable): Although she helps people with their love life, she herself has no interest in being in a relationship. She doesn’t go looking for love but won’t particularly avoid it either.
Center (only for guardians): Compassion
Bio: Eros grew up in a small cabin in the mountains of Akureyri, Iceland. She spent her days there with her strong father who was the “greatest huntsman in all of Iceland” according to the citizens of the small town she lived in. She herself was also quite the huntswoman, carrying around a bronze bow with her wherever she went, hunting down large game with her superior tracking skills. However, Eros always seemed to feel invisible, even to her father. During this time (which was long before any documented history) Iceland was called “Iceland” for a reason. The country itself was always blanketed in snow and ice covered most of everything. Eros always believed that the coldest thing in all of the country was the peoples’ hearts. They had never seen or experienced love. They would get married and leave each other, only to live on their own. Eros had only heard of true love through stories and had thought it to be a most interesting thing. So, one night she set off to follow the northern lights, not caring where she was going. Her only hope was to find the one thing she had always wanted to see, love. As she went along her journey a motherly-like voice spoke to her and told her that it would lead her to what she searched for. On one condition. Eros was overjoyed and without asking, agreed to help the mysterious voice. Suddenly, the sky twisted around her. Eros could feel energy escaping along with a sudden burst of pain and she fainted in the snowy tundra. When she awoke she found herself rejuvenated and free. The moment she stood up her feet floated off the ground. She had grown wings! Not only this, but her whole appearance had transformed. When she saw her reflection, she could hardly recognize herself. She looked to be the same age, but everything else had changed. The voice appeared back inside her mind. It told her that she was once the spirit of love that blossomed in the world, but when the love in the world died out, so did she. The voice spoke to Eros and told her that the new appearance she had taken on was once the spirit of loves’. The spirit then told Eros that it was her duty to guard the last bit of love in the world and to help it grow by letting others feel her compassion. Eros promised that she would fulfill her duty and went to go tell her father. However, when she returned back to her town it was gone. Eros never knew what happened to her father, or who the spirit in her head was. But she began her quest to let love thrive throughout the world and still fulfills her duty today.
Roleplay Example: Eros looked up at the night sky. Stars speckled the horizon, and the moon peeked out between thick black clouds. She sat there, wondering who could have created such a vast, magnificent display. Just as she was about to close her eyes, something interrupted her. Eros sighed it seemed as though she could never get any peace.
“What?” She said plainly.
